Natural Theraphy

Have you heard of therapeutic tuning forks before?
People often wonder how therapists use them instead of acupuncture needles… well, let’s just say they don’t stab people with them.
Rather, they strike a specific fork (which sets off vibration for around 15-30 seconds) and apply the base of the vibrating fork to a specific acu-point (acupuncture point).

How it works
Each different fork has been calibrated to match the natural frequencies of 14 different Meridian lines.
Meridian lines are ‘energy veins’. Dotted all along these ‘veins’ are energy points called ‘acupoints’ (pressure points).
Energy circulates through these meridian lines – passing through acupoints and nourishing the body.
The energy that flows through these meridian lines is called Qi (pronounced ‘chi’).
When Qi is circulating freely throughout our body, one experiences perfect health.
But when Qi becomes blocked or slows down, pain and disease manifests.
In order to promote a healthy circulation of Qi, specific acupoints need to be stimulated. This can be done in a variety of ways.
- Acupuncture uses needles
- Acupressure uses finger pressure
- Electro-acupuncture uses electric needles
- Moxibustion uses heat (burning herbs)
- Acu-acoustics uses sound frequencies (tuning forks)
So, with the case of tuning forks, the vibrating frequency synchronizes the blocked meridian back to a healthy state. This is combined with acupressure – as the base of the fork is pressed firmly on the acupoint.
This unblocks and promotes a healthy circulation of Qi (energy).
Why forks work
Tuning forks vibrate at a certain frequency when you strike them.
Their frequencies can cause other objects to vibrate in harmony with it… including our body.
They do this through a law of physics called entrainment – when one object becomes entrained with another, they both expend less energy.
Most people have heard of the concept of entrainment before but not the name of it. Entrainment is defined as “a synchronization of two or more rhythmic cycles” – it’s a law of physics: when two objects are entrained with each other, they expend less energy.*
It is this phenomenon that causes:
- Female roommates’ menstrual cycles to sync together
- Our heart rate and brain waves entraining/syncing to a hectic or a quiet environment
- Fireflies that blink together at the same time
- And the resetting of the internal body clock – after a very long plane flight
It doesn’t stop at biology. Entrainment happens with machines too – such as clocks to electric driers.
Entrainment can also be defined within: Physics, engineering, biomusicology, hydrodynamics and also brainwaves.
Our bodies can be tuned like musical instruments
DR JOHN BEAULIEU, N.D., Ph.D., is one of the foremost pioneers in sound therapy, research, and innovation. He recognizes tuning forks as the best way to deliver therapeutic sound healing.
“Our bodies can be tuned like musical instruments. When they are properly tuned, we have a sense of well-being and perfect self-expression… When we are in-tune we are like a string that is stretched with the right amount of tension in order to play the music of life. We are not too tight, and we are not too loose.
Athletes and performers describe being in tune as a state of profound inner relaxation during performing. They are often referred to them as “high tuned” or “in the zone”. When we are “in tune” we are able to make better choices. We have the ability to successfully adapt to the stresses of life giving us better health and increased wellness”.*
Fabian Maman has also been a pioneer in tuning fork therapy – for the last 20 years.
“Precision calibrated tuning forks can be applied to specific acupuncture and acupressure points that access the body’s Meridians of energy. Listening-to and applying the forks to the body and above it stimulates and balances the body’s subtle energies to promote healing and inner balance/harmony”.*
Treat chronic pain and a wide range of common ailments
Some skeptics dismiss acu-therapies; citing the “placebo effect”. This is where 30% of people will be shown to heal in experiments when given a sugar pill instead of the “real medicine”.
However, the placebo effect has been debunked because all kinds of animals – who can’t comprehend suggestion, also respond incredibly well to the healing properties of acupoint therapy.

Acu-therapies have been used to treat a ton of different ailments (for thousands of years) such as:
- Chronic pain
- Allergies
- Addictions
- Arthritis
- High blood pressure
- Low Immune system
- Asthma
- Anxiety and depression
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Obesity
- Sciatica and many, more.
The body is the perfect transmitter
Since the human body is over seventy percent water and since sound travels five times more efficiently through water than through air, sound frequency stimulation directly into the body is a highly efficient means for total body stimulation. Especially on a cellular level.
And sound travels through bone twice as fast as water (that’s 10x faster than sound traveling through the air).
It is for this reason why hearing aids work so well. Hearing aids conduct sound directly to the cochlea via the resonance of the skull – this is because bone is such a wonderful sound conductor.
It’s also worth noting that the ear is connected to an ending of the Vagus nerve (our most expansive nerve) which is directly connected to all our major organs.
The word ‘Vagus’ means ‘wander’ because it wanders all over the body.
When we hear the frequency of a tuning fork; our meridian system attunes to the pitch in much the same way as when we find a pitch for a choir or tune a piano.
Two is better than one
Acu-Frequency TM is a digital, streamlined version of tuning fork therapy.
The frequency of each fork has been digitally recorded so it can be played for as long as you like. This gives a user free time to concentrate on applying acupressure.
Switching frequencies can be done at the click of a finger – meaning there’s no need a set of expensive forks, resulting in quick pain relief on-the-go.
Electro-acupuncture is the preferred acu-therapy used in hospitals. The combination of electricity and needles creates a healing synergy that delivers faster and longer lasting results.
But because of its invasive nature, many people are a little reluctant to give it a try. And since it involves electric needles, it’s not something that people can apply on themselves.
Acu-Frequency TM however, has proven to be a popular, non-invasive alternative to electro-acupuncture.
Like electro-acupuncture, with the combination between two acu-therapies at once (acupressure and acu-acoustics), there’s a synergistic interaction between them that makes them exponentially more potent than either treatment on their own.
And the step-by-step instructions make it easy to apply… in as little as 3 minutes a day
